We are a bilingual French-English school. The English section of the school teaches the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales, while the French section follows the programme of the Ministère de l’Education Nationale.

 

La Petite Ecole Bilingue is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Please include the names and contact details of two referees. 

Successful candidates must hold a UK (or equivalent) teaching qualification and be able to teach from ages 4 to 11; experience in teaching phonics and working with children with English as an additional language is essential. 

FOR THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT:

1 KS1/KS2 ENGLISH TEACHER

 

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic KS1 and KS2 English teacher. Full time long term position; part-time position may be available, please enquire.

We are looking for:

  •  a caring and dedicated teacher who will create strong bonds with his/her pupils.

  •  applicants with a good knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.

  • enthusiastic, inspiring and creative teacher with a passion for his/ her profession.

  • someone with a strong team spirit who will be  able to work in tandem with the French form teacher.

  • someone with strong organisational skills.

  • committed to high standards of presentation and organisation in his/her work and behaviour in his/her classroom.

  • Expects similar high standards from his/ her pupils.

The school follows a French academic school calendar (1st week: 1st week of September; last week: 1st week of July).

1 TEACHER ASSISTANT

We are looking for:

  • an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and punctual team player.

  • full and relevant Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in childcare. Level 1 also could be considered based on experience

  • sound understanding of the renewed Early Years Foundation Stage and Development matter, Working together, Safeguarding in education.

  • someone with a strong team spirit.

  •  someone with strong organisational skills.

  • committed to high standards of presentation and organisation in his/her work and behaviour in his/her classroom.
